Traveling with my (adult) son, I wanted to indulge a little and we went probably for the best place in Chicago. The hotel is perfectly located, it's high class, close to shopping and to animated nightlife. Hotel staff is very friendly and professional.
When booking the room I have specifically asked for 2 beds in the bedroom. None were available when arriving. With an extra $100 we ended up in a suite with a sofa as a second (uncomfortable) bed.

Location so close to Chicago and the restaurants General Manager and Ritz Carlton's wonderful, caring sommelier, Pierre Lasserre. Breakfast with smoked salmon and soup, as example.

Nice large room with a splendid view and one could open the windows to get real air.Staff all very friendly.
The decor was dated, a lot of things were worn and a bit shabby, the crockery was crazed. No breakfast buffet and the food was mediocre. It does not measure up to either the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons reputations.

Luxurious, luxurious, luxurious
The views from my room were beyond lovely-I woke up to amazing cityscapes every morning. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! Plus, the staff went out of their way to, especially when I indulged in their amazing spa treatments.
100% recommend ✨❤️

Service was extremely slow at the bar on multiple occassions Curious that this Ritz is not part of the network. We enjoy the Ritz but do so as a frequent traveler.

Clean room great bed. Restaurant only fair.
The reataurant was slow. We had a family dinner with 3 kids, arrived on time at 7:30. Still waiting for dinner at 9:00 pm

Family stay-worth it but a bit pricey
We managed to grab a lovely breakfast at the hotel restaurant when the wait next door was insane. The staff wrapped up our leftovers beautifully, it was like they cared, really cared about us, you know?
It wasn't inexpensive, but I'd say still reasonable for what we got.

Also, the location is perfect and magnificent, minutes from a contemporary art museum. The rooms are newly remodelled and have breathtaking view of the lake. Every time in Chicago we stay in this hotel
